Nicholas Alexander Band

Nicholas Alexander, son of the renowned blues musician Linsey Alexander, is making his mark in the music scene with a blend of blues and soul influences. Growing up under the guidance of his father, known as the original “Hoochie Man,” Nicholas has embraced his musical heritage while carving out his unique sound.

Nicholas's deep connection to his father's music is evident in his performances, whether filling in for Linsey at prestigious events like the Delmark tribute at the Chicago Blues Festival or gracing the stage at local clubs. His upcoming album features songs that pay homage to Linsey's legacy, with the first single, “Mona Lisa was a Man,” holding a special significance as one of Nicholas's earliest guitar influences.

In collaboration with a talented ensemble of Chicago musicians, Nicholas is set to release his album, showcasing a fusion of blues and soul that reflects his musical evolution. Despite his roots in the blues, Nicholas aims to bring a fresh perspective to the genre by infusing elements of sixties and seventies soul music into his work.

With the release of his second single, “Popcorn,” on March 8th, produced by Connor Korte, Nicholas Alexander continues to push boundaries and deliver dynamic interpretations of classic tunes. His music, including singles like “Mona Lisa was a Man” and “Popcorn,” will be available on all major streaming platforms, offering listeners a taste of his innovative approach to blues and soul music. Stay tuned for updates on the official album release as Nicholas Alexander embarks on a musical journey that honors tradition while embracing new creative horizons.
