Chicago’s own Lynne Jordan is a powerhouse vocalist and performer whose dynamic presence and genre-spanning voice—blues, jazz, funk, rock, and even country—have made her a beloved institution in the city’s music scene. Known for her bawdy humor and magnetic storytelling, she fronts the acclaimed band The Shivers and has dazzled audiences everywhere from local clubs to international stages, including a landmark performance for 250,000 in Kyiv. Roger Ebert once called her his “favorite diva.” Jordan’s credits include collaborations with Tom Waits, Urge Overkill, and Toronzo Cannon, as well as standout tributes to Nina Simone and Janis Joplin. A featured vocalist with Corky Siegel’s Chamber Blues. She continues to tour, record, and captivate crowds with her signature blend of music, humor, and heart.
